Shreveport-Bossier Ranks 10th As Most Dangerous Metropolitan Area

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The results of a new study were released today on the safest, and most dangerous cities and metropolitan areas in the nation. Shreveport-Bossier made the list, and not in a good way. According to the study, Shreveport-Bossier ranked as the 10th most dangerous metropolitan area. We asked police and city leaders what they thought about the results. Mark Natale with the Bossier police department tells us the information is gathered from records given to the F-B-I. According to Natale not all cities report their crime to the F-B-I. Therefore Natale feels the study may not be accurate. We also spoke with mayor Keith Hightower about the results, he agrees with Bossier police. He says he doesn`t not understand how Shreveport-Bossier can be considered more dangerous than Los Angeles. He feels that`s why he has to question the accuracy of the study as well.
