In an effort to reduce child obesity the State of Texas banned fried foods from school lunches.  That means students will no longer be able to enjoy greasy and calorie filled foods like burgers and french fries.  Pleasant Grove ISD food service director Jeff Frank says Texas is number 2 in the nation for cases of child obesity.  It's a dubious distinction he hopes new, healthier lunch menus will change.  Students will now choose from various baked dishes, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables.
