Educators at TAMU-T are preparing for a surge in student enrollment.  Registration begins on August 21st and classes start August 27th.  Bob Bruggeman in the school's marketing office says he expects the student population to continue growing.

One reason for the increased enrollment is a brand new multi-million dollar campus under construction off Richmond Road.  Bruggeman says the university is also seeing an increase in students taking online classes from home.  These factors, along with the school expanding to accept freshmen and sophomore students mean record growth likely has no end in sight.

With the transition to a full four-year univeristy Bruggeman says more degree programs will be added.  By 2011 dormitories will be available to students, offering the complete college experience.
