Rolling Confession To Grissom Murders Read Aloud

Updated: January 7, 2009
When Danny Rolling`s spiritual advisor returned from his execution in Florida, he delivered a letter to police that reassured detectives they had been right in their investigation. Pastor Mike Hudspeth, who pastored the church Rolling attended when he was a child, has corresponded and visited rolling over the years. During a meeting Tuesday, just a day before his execution, Hudspeth asked Rolling to prepare a written confession of the Grissom murders. Here`s some of what he wrote. "Here by I make a formal statement concerning the murders of of Julie, Tom and Sean Grissom in my hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. Hal Carter, Julie Grissom`s former fiancé is 100% innocent. Totally pure of that crime, I and I alone am guilty." The retired detectives who worked the Grissom case believe ,24-year-old, Julie was Rolling`s intended target. She moved from Baton Rouge to take care of her father, Tom, while he battled cancer. They say Rolling watched her at shopping malls, at a local park and at a fast food restaurant where he worked. The coroner determined the Grissom`s were killed 2-days before their bodies were found, the same day Danny Rolling was fired from his job. Tom and Julie`s 8-year-old nephew ,Sean, police believe were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
