Health Reform Debates Continue

As the health care debate rages on today in angry townhalls, non partisan fact-checking organizations are accusing both sides of myth-making and distortions.
"Your government has lost the faith and trust of the American people!" said a town hall participant to Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Maryland).
Cardin was booed when he responded "I think the Obama Administration has already started to restore trust in health care."
Meantime, opposing sides on the health care debate shouted at each other outside a town hall in Alhambra, California.
One of the casualties is truth. Among the myths are that illegal immigrants will get guaranteed care. And that President Obama is for a single-payer government system. Or suicide will be encouraged by government death panels. Another myth is that abortions will be funded by tax dollars.
Lori Robertson of non-partisan FactCheck.org says that, in general, the claims circulating are not true.
"I just hope that people would say well, wait a minute, that doesn't sound quite right. Let me look into that a little more," Robertson says.
But many Americans are angry about the recession and the bailouts.
