The plaza will be named after Dr. Lacy and Edie Williams. Dr. Lacy is a member of the LSUS foundation board of directors and Edie Williams is an alumni who graduated from LSUS in 1988. They are both the lead donors for the project. The plaza designed by a Shreveport architect is a highlight of the university`s 40th anniversary celebration.
The circle of excellence gives all those who participated in the project a chance to contribute to the university`s future while celebrating it`s past. Those who where at today`s press conference got a first had look at what the plaza will look like thanks to photorealistic renderings.
