July 4th Arrests Stats Released

In addition to the roving patrols, Texarkana Arkansas Police had additional D.W.I. and Special Operations traffic enforcement units working over the three-day period. We do have some figures to share with everyone regarding the 2009 July 4th holiday weekend.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department answered approximately 339 calls for service over the three-day period. A total of 35 arrests were made for various criminal matters, 5 of these arrests were for Driving While Intoxicated. Officers issued 15 traffic citations and 4 warning citations.
