Deputies sent the body to Baton Rouge where forensic experts literally rebuilt the face of Victor Barajas who became the target of foul play. According to police files these two men Catlett and Barajas packed approximately 400 pounds of marijuana in this dodge truck and brought them to Mansfield Louisiana back in 1975. The two were last seen in Mansfield that same year. Shortly after they both went missing. The body of Catlett turned up at a Mansfield city dump. He was identified almost immediately. Later in 1979 the bones of Barajas surfaced in a Bossier city landfill. The remains went unidentified as those of Barajas until now. The faces lab in Baton Rouge used D-N-A technology and forensic facial reconstruction to identify the remains. According to police files the marijuana was brought to Mansfield by the two men from Texas for two black males in Mansfield one of them was Johnny Ray Partner. A suspect in this case. We did speak with one of Victor Barrajas family members on the phone. He told us he was glad his uncle's remains were identified. The family has been wondering what happened to Barajas for years.
