Woman On The Run Accused Of Hitting Husband With Hammer

Bossier City police are asking the public for help in locating a woman accused of striking her husband in the head with a hammer. Police have obtained a criminal arrest warrant for Shontae M. Washington, 19, of Bossier City charging her with aggravated battery.
Washington is accused of striking her husband in the head with a hammer during an argument on September 28, 2006 at the couple`s home in the 2100 block of Pine Street. Washington fled the scene while her husband called police. The man was taken to a hospital via BCFD ambulance and treated for a non-life threatening injury.
Anyone with information about Washington`s whereabouts is asked to call the BCPD`s Violent Crimes Unit at 318-424-4100. Callers to Crimestoppers are reminded they may remain totally anonymous.
