The killing he is charged with went down August fourth during a burglary of the woman's home. This event has painted a picture of Brooks as being a desperate criminal. Add that to the attempted murder and robbery charges already against Brooks in Louisiana and he's a not so ordinary citizen of the quiet town he came from. Today Greenwood residents spoke with us about what they thought of Brooks recent run-in with the law. The people we spoke with didn't personally know Brooks. But what they do know is that they don't want him back in their community. When Greenwood made headlines after the man hunt in North Dakota. Greenwood resident Elise Wissing started wondering who the man police were looking for Jeremy Brooks was."It was surprising because we have nice people in Greenwood." Brooks still remains a mystery among the Greenwood residents. It's not clear how long Brooks lived in Greenwood. We were told by his father he stayed with him at his house, but left more than two and a half years ago. Greenwood resident Linda Neal did tell us one thing she didn't want someone with Brook's criminal history living in her community.
