brrokes2007-08-16-1187272089.JPGThe McHenry County, North Dakota sheriff says authorities have several reports of sightings of a fugitive wanted in the death of a Minnesota woman, and they think he's still traveling on foot. Twenty-seven-year-old Jeremy Brooks of Greenwood, Louisiana is wanted in the slaying of 58-year-old Ruth Ouverson of rural Montrose, Minnesota, earlier this month. A second suspect, 28-year-old Coty Martinez, was arrested last night near Velva. The two also are wanted in Louisiana in an attempted murder and armed robbery case. McHenry County Sheriff Marv Sola says authorities are using planes and helicopters to search an area from Harvey to Minot. He says he's had reports that Brooks was spotted last night and early this morning near grain bins and around railroad tracks in the Drake area.
