Two police officers and a suspected assailant were killed in a shootout at a motel in north Louisiana Friday afternoon, state police have confirmed. The incident reportedly happened about 1:30 p.m. at a Budget Inn in the Morehouse Parish town of Bastrop. Authorities said they continue piecing together the details of the shooting. They said federal, state and local law enforcement remained at the scene late Friday afternoon. Officials said they also continue looking for what they are calling a "person of interest" in the incident. She has been identified as 26-year-old Tayna "Little Feather" Smith. Smith is described as white, five-feet nine-inches, 150 pounds, with brown hair, hazel eyes and a tattoo on her left wrist.
