Caddo Parish Fires Another Employee

By: Maria Vallejo
Updated: July 31, 2007
Bad news for animal control officer Pat Scott after a preliminary disciplinary hearing Monday. Scott was terminated. The Caddo Parish sheriff's office started an investigation about procedures at the animal control department after a resident scratched by a raccoon complained rabies testing took too long. The process is suppose to take anywhere from twenty four to forty eight hours. The resident who complained didn't get the rabies test results back until seventeen days later. Scott is the second employee to be fired in less than two week. The first employee fired was Caddo Parish animal control director Michael Dale.
