Cyberspace Command at Barksdale Air Force Base

Louisiana is currently home to the Air Force Network Operations Center or AFNOC. The AFNOC controls Air Force networks, orchestrating the prevention, detection and intervention of hundreds of intrusion attempts daily. While many different units engage in "cyber command" as part of this effort to defend Air Force newtworks, Barksdale Air Force Base is already the warfighting headquarters for this mission.
