Warning Signs for Depression:
Sadness, loneliness, hopelessness, loss of interest, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping, mood swings, loss of energy, anxiety, confusion, hallucinations, lack of trust, poor personal appearance, and thoughts of death.
Often, seniors combat depression with Intensive Outpatient Programs. They can be paid for through Medicare Part B, supplemental insurance, or private insurance. There is a prequalification process, plus transportation and meals are available at some locations.
