Man Looking For Help Gets More Than He Bargained For

A man seeking food and shelter in DeQueen, Arkansas Is now behind bars as an unregistered sex offender. During a background check to find out if 39 year old Larry Smith qualified for aid he was taken into custody. The check showed Smith was an unregister sex offender out of Washington County, Arkansas. Smith served a ten year sentence for rape and was released last year. Not registering as a sex offender is a felony and carries a $10,000 fine.
