By: Shannon Slatton
Updated: July 13, 2007
The Council for a Better Louisiana, or CABL, is preparing for the upcoming election. The organization is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working on issues of the public interest to Louisiana.  They will be offering a new electronic newsletter to its members and web suscribers. The new service will provide factual, independent reports, and articles on important state issues.

"As more people become knowledgeable about the issues, they can better hold their elected officials accountable and actively participate in efforts to improve education, economic development, and many of the operations of our state government. CABL Wire is a simple way more people can get 'plugged in' to what's going on around them, said CABL President and CEO Barry Erwin.

The Quantum Change agenda identifies specific action items that can accelerate progress across the state. The CABL Wire also features reports and commentary on current legislative action, recaps of important national research, and links to relevant sites.
