Man Begins 55 Year Sentence For Beating And Burning A Shreveport Man

Friday a 55 year term of hard labor begins for a man convicted of beating and burning another man alive.
On Thursday in Caddo District Court, Darrell Hollingsworth recieved the maximum sentence of 50 years plus another 5 for previous convictions.
Hollingsworth was convicted of attempted second degree murder for an attack on Tyrone Chambers. He was originally scheduled for sentencing in July, but that was posponed.
Prosecutors wanted to increase the sentence because he was a multiple offender.
