Three teens arrested for causing destruction in Keithville

Three teens are now behind bars charged with thousands of dollars in property damage on Timber Ridge Drive. An investigation by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Michael Escude’ led to Monday's arrest of Dusty Logan Huse, 18, of Greenwood, and today's arrests of Brandon Johnson, 17, of Keithville, and a 16-year-old juvenile. All three were arrested on five counts of property damage, two counts each of simple burglary of a vehicle and theft, and one count each of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, forgery, attempted simple burglary, and unauthorized use of an access card. Neighbors awoke on June 26 to find their brick mailboxes, statues, and fountains toppled over. Items were also stolen from their property, including a boat propeller that was thrown in the woods, a propane tank that was recovered from a ditch, and a bank card that was taken out of a vehicle and used to buy cigarettes and gas at a grocery store. The suspects entered a garage at one location and helped themselves to ice cream and drinks in the refrigerator/freezer. In all, there was damage to 16 residences, Escude’ said. Four of the property damage charges are felonies because the damage was valued at more than $500. Other charges could be pending. Escude’ said the three teens were staying at a trailer on Hwy. 169 about a ¼ mile of a mile away when they went for a walk between 2 and 3 a.m. and wreaked havoc on the neighborhood. At least two of the teens had been drinking.
