Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says two Haughton men have been arrested on drug charges. Wesley Knowles, Jr., 50, of the 3700 block of Jones Road, and Tom Rascoe, 51, of the 1200 block of Cinnamon Lane, were arrested when Bossier Sheriffs narcotics agents executed a search warrant and arrest warrants at Knowles residence late Tuesday. Knowles is charged with 3 counts of distribution of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rascoe is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. When the agents arrived, Police say Knowles ran into the house from the front porch and barricaded himself inside the bathroom. After several attempts, the agents were able to get the door open, but Knowles refused to obey commands to get on the Floor and was forced to the ground and restrained. Authorities say Rascoe ran into the woods when agents arrived, but was caught and arrested. A search of the residence yielded several rocks of crack cocaine, marijuana, scales, rolling papers, $589.00 in U.S. currency, a 20-gauge shotgun and a 9mm Baretta pistol which was listed as stolen out of Webster Parish.
