A local fire official is in trouble after his bust by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Cullen Assistant Fire Chief Mark Eubanks faces 1 count of possession of child pornography. He is also considered a fugitive from Tangipahoa Parish, where he is charged with pornography involving a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile. Eubanks is charged with sending pornographic pictures and using an office web cam. According to authorities the 47-year-old thought he had been online chatting with a teenage girl, but he was really talking to a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Cullen Fire Chief Joe Powell has known Eubanks all his life and could not belive the allegations. "I've been knowing the boy all his life and i didn't think he's...he's eaten a lot of meals at my table and i didn't think he'd do that." Webster Detective, Scott Tucker said part of the investigation meant telling Eubanks' wife and children what had happened. "We actually had to go to the familys house where he lives and basically tell his wife and children what was going on." Eubanks admitted to the charges and told police that he has had a problem with adult pornography for about seven years as well. Eubanks will be held in Webster Parish, until bond is set by a judge. He will then be transported to Tangipahoa Parish to face other charges.
