If you owe money for fines assessed through Caddo District Court, pay up or you could find yourself in jail. Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said deputies will begin working overtime to track down offenders who have neglected to pay fines ordered by the court. When the offenders are located, they will be given the opportunity to settle their fine. If they dont pay their fine, they will be booked into Caddo Correctional Center. "They could be there a matter of days or they could be there a matter of minutes. Thats up to them," Prator said. The Sheriffs Office has over 2,000 unresolved execution of sentence bench warrants on file where Caddo judges have ordered defendants to pay fines or serve time in jail. Additionally, there are another 400 probation violation warrants for people who have failed to sign up for court-ordered probation or not continued with probation appointments. Both involve payment of fees.
