Louisiana Residents Advised to Get Flood Insurance

wLouisiana's Insurance Commissionar, Jim Donelon, has advised every Louisiana resident to get flood insurance. Donelon is touring the state promoting the Federal Flood Insurance Program. He says that the parishes along the gulf are not the only ones in danger. Parishes statewide have experienced heavy rains that could easily bring massive damage. Right now, only about 31% of Louisiana households have flood insurance.
