breaking news
A California woman is found murdered inside a Bossier Parish home, and police believe she may have known her killer. It happened in Benton, in the 100 block of Augusta Avenue shortly after 2AM. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Tiffany Johnson. Police say Johnson was sharing the home with a couple, and had just moved in a few months ago. They say she often entertained acquaintances there, while the pair was at work. Deputies say the husband returned home from work around 2:15 Wednesday morning and found Johnson`s body on the living room floor. She appeared to have been shot. Police believe she knew her killer.
"They were acquaintances, possibly boyfriend/girlfriend," said Public Information Officer Ed Baswell.
Now Sheriff`s deputies are looking for a "person of interest" they believe will help solve the case.
"A person that we believe is an acquaintance of the victim. We`d really like to talk to that person. We believe he can help us," said Baswell.
Deputies are also looking for a vehicle stolen from the nearby Bay Hills subdivision. Police are looking for a 1999 dark blue Ford F-150 pickup truck with the license plate V304255. It`s a company vehicle with the word "Kintzing" on the door and overhead rack. If you`ve seen it please call the Bossier Parish Sheriff`s Office.
