Water Problems In Vivian

By: Maria Vallejo
Updated: May 8, 2007
Some Vivian residents say the water in the city is usually a slight tint of brown, but Monday morning it was probably the worse they've ever seen it. Many residents wondered what was going on. They started calling the mayor wanting answers. The fire chief in Vivian says the department is working on flushing fire hydrants, that's making the water brown. Until the department finishes flushing the hydrants the water problems won't go away. The city's mayor says the pipes in Vivian are also old. He is trying to get federal funding to change water pipes in the city.
