cIt's a problem that locals must deal with every year around this time. Groups of people cruising the streets in their cars. Drivers claim that there is nowhere else to go in order to show off their vehicles. This behavior, cruising up and down streets, causes traffic back-up's and disturbs residents and business owners. The cruisers ride to places like Airport and Ford Parks to congregate until the police show up, and they are forced to go somewhere else. But this year, police plan on tackling the cruising problem before it gets out of hand. Last year, the city funded Super Safe Sunday to try and provide the cruisers with an alternative activity, unfortunatly, the event was terminate because of a shooting. So for now, police will be playing defense and getting to the problem areas before the cruisers can.
