A former aide at the Rutherford House for juveniles faces more charges after further investigation by the Northwest Louisiana Internet Crimes against Children Task Force and the Caddo District Attorney’s Office. Officials say Jimmy Yates, 36, now faces a possession of child pornography charge after sexual images of children were found on computer hard drives seized from his residence in an earlier investigation. Yates is being held at the Caddo Correctional Center following his March 19 arrest for indecent behavior with a juvenile. Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Robert Greer filed the pornography charge Friday. Yates’ arrest in March was the result of on-line communications with a task force agent during which Yates believed he was communicating with a 14-year old girl. Yates is accused of making lewd and inappropriate comments during the conversation. Following that arrest, agents seized numerous computers, hard drives, and other items from his residence. The hard drives were forensically examined by the Caddo DA’s Office, resulting in the additional pornography charge. Yates was employed as an aide at Rutherford House at the time of his arrest in March; however, he no longer works there.
