The work of 4 National Guard soldiers in the frantic first days after Hurricane Katrina was honored Tuesday in Bossier City.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Gene Barattini, Captain Jason Kendall, Sergeant First Class Russell Johnston and Sergeant First Class Neal Purcell were honored.
The four are credited with helping save more than 400 people during the desperate time.
The quartet was honored by Bossier City and the Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.
