Bossier City Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 11:23 p.m.Tuesday at the intersection of E. Third and Edwards St. Witnesses stated several black males pulled up and fired several shots at subjects who were near the intersection. The victim, 21-year-old Vanessa Jeter, was hit in the right foot. Bossier City Fire Department personnel transported Jeter to Willis Knighton Hospital in Bossier City with non-life threatening injury. Preliminary investigations reveal that this shooting was a possible retaliation for an incident that occurred last Sunday when police were called in reference to a disturbance between the victim's mother and one of the suspects involved in the shooting. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting.
