One Killed, Four Injured in Head-On Crash

(Sevier County) One southwest Arkansas resident was killed and four others injured in a head-on collision Monday morning in Sevier County. The crash reportedly occurred about 9:30 a.m. when a Chevy Impala traveling south on Highway 71 near DeQueen crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a Jeep Cherokee. The driver of the Jeep - 42-year-old Donna L. Rios of Gillham - was killed, police said. A passenger - Gabriela Rios, also of Gillham - was injured. Four occupants from the other vehicle were also reportedly injured. They were the driver - 42-year-old Vicky Vick, Eli Vick and Rebecca Vick -ages unknown - all from DeQueen.

Locals recount past tornadoes

The recent tornado coverage is bringing up memories of past twisters in our area.  Bossier Parish was hit by multiple tornadoes in 2009.

Just last Thursday, Waskom and Greenwood were hit by an EF-1 tornado.
