District Fire Chief Accused in Murder For Hire Scheme

A joint effort between the Caddo Sheriff’s office and the FBI has resulted in the arrest of 42 year old Greenwood District 3 Fire Chief Donavon McMullen Jr. Mcmullen was indicted Wednesday on charges that he tampered with witnesses and tried to arrange a hit on another court witness. The charges relate to an undisclosed incident that occurred shortly after the hurricane in south Louisiana At one time, McMullen was credited with saving lives during Katrina but now be transported to Baton Rouge and face a possible 40 year sentence if convicted As for the details of the case he was involved in and who may have tried to kill, authorities wouldnt say Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said although he knows what the happened during the incident, he was not at liberty to discuss it. He did say “there are a lot more facts that will come out as it goes along.” The FBI would only say that the case is still under investigation.
