Updated: March 19, 2007
Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell announced his bid for candidacy for Governor of Louisiana. The Democrat from Bossier City will become the third major candidate to challenge Governor Blanco in this Fall's election, and is the first member of Blanco's own party to do so. Congressman Bobby Jindal of Kenner and State Senator Walter Boasso of Arabi, both Republicans, have already thrown their hats into the ring.
