Texas Trooper Remembered by Friends and Family

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Trooper Holmes, who was killed in east Texas Wednesday night. He was killed when his patrol car was hit broadside by an 18-wheeler just north of Marshall as he attempted to cross Highway 59 to pursue a vehicle. Funeral services were held at the Alpine Church of Christ in Longview. Holmes had been with DPS since January 2005 and was stationed in Gilmer. Trooper Holmes leaves behind a wife and three children.
