wreckAmanda Sparaco and Zachary Lewis, both 17, were leaving a friends house Wednesday night. Acorrding to the Caddo Sheriff's office, an 18-wheeler stuck the side of an SUV when Lewis failed to stop at the intersection of US71 and LA170 in Gilliam. Sparaco died shortly after and Lewis is at LSU Medical Center in critical condition.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was treated and released with minor injuries. Officers say it was not possible for the big rig driver to avoid hitting the teens.  Both of the teenagers were cheerleaders at North Caddo High School. Sparaco was also a member of the soccer team.
