Shreveport Police Officer Injured

A Shreveport Police officer is recovering after being injured during a fight with a man begging for money. It happened just after 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Southfield. Police say during the altercation the officer's hand was slammed in the door of his patrol car. The man fled on foot and is still on the loose.
