Newborn Tests Positive For Drugs

babyA Webster Parish woman faces criminal charges after police say her newborn infant tested positive for methamphetamine. 29-year-old Samantha Patterson consented to a police search after investigators were notified of the test results. Police say they found marijuana, oxycontin and drug paraphernalia inside Patterson's home. Patterson now faces child endangerment and drug possession charges. The child is in state custody
