Man Free On Bond Back in Jail Again

A man once convicted of sexual assaulting children is back in custody tonight, after being accused of violating his probation. Police say he was told not to contact anyone under the age of 18, but they say he did anyway. Now investigators are working to build a strong case against him. Undre Beasley bonded out of jail on February 28th on a rape charge from July 2005. He was arrested in December after being accused of having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl. At a bond hearing this week, he was taken back into custody for violating his probation. He was told not to contact minors but police say he did anyway. Last summer he was thrown in jail on charges of having sex with a girl under the age of 16. He bonded out on that charge also. Police say they have learned Undre contacted these girls at Skate America and at Joni's Gymnastics and Dance Centre, both local businesses in town, using cellphones and text messages to communicate with them. Both businesses tell KTAL that Beasley was never one of their employees. Police departments on both sides of the city are working cases against Beasley. They are certain more girls are out there who need to speak up. Prosecuting attorney Charles Black says, "I would encourage anybody in the community that has any knowledge of Beasley's contact with minors at those locations or places in the community to come forward" Beasley will stand in front of the judge again later this month. Prosecutors expect his bond will be set once again, so he could be back out on the streets.
