Southwood Village Fire

 Some shreveport residents are homeless today after at least two apartments caught fire in a Shreveport complex. Several fire and police units were called to the Southwood Village Apartments on Walker Road just after one this morning. Fire officials say it started in an upper level apartment and spread. Destroying two apartments. The entire building had to be evacuated. No people were hurt in the fire but fire crews say a dog that got stuck on a patio did not survive the smoke. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

As rescuers continue to search for children trapped in the rubble of the Oklahoma tornado, ArkLaTex schools are hosting tornado drills and reviewing their procedures.

(NBC NEWS) -- Oklahoma's State Medical examiner has revised the number of the deaths from yesterday's massive tornado in Moore from 51 to 24.

Officials believe that some victims were counted twice immediately following the storm.
