
Some shreveport residents are homeless today after at least two apartments caught fire in a Shreveport complex.
Several fire and police units were called to the Southwood Village Apartments on Walker Road just after one this morning.
Fire officials say it started in an upper level apartment and spread. Destroying two apartments. The entire building had to be evacuated. No people were hurt in the fire but fire crews say a dog that got stuck on a patio did not survive the smoke. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
