Teen vanishes from Shreveport neighborhood

Authorities need your help finding a teenager who disappeared from the Werner Park subdivision.

Rebecca Girard, 14, was last seen on Sunday near Clarke Street.

Rebecca is described as a white female, standing 5' 5" tall, weighing 185 pounds, with hazel eyes and blonde hair.  She was last seen wearing a light pink hooded sweat shirt, light blue jeans and gray Nike shoes.

Rebecca frequents the Mooretown and Queensborough neighborhoods and authorities are concerned about her welfare.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Rebecca is asked to call the Missing Persons Detectives at (318) 673-7029 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish CrimeStoppers at (318) 673-7373.

Missing dog gets reunited with owner
A local family woke up last week missing something, their dog. Dana Shirley of Minden reached out to NBC 6 News to share her story. She says last week their dog, Lady, was mistakenly picked up by animal control. Luckily, Lady was discovered two days later at a house across town, all thanks to Dana's son.
