Copper thieves targeted a vacant Caddo Parish School.  The duo left behind damages valued at nearly half a million dollars.

Eric Wright and Robin Frazier were both arrested for possession of burglary tools and theft of building components.

According to Shreveport Police the incident happened last Friday at Hamilton Terrace.  The thieves got on the roof of the school and stole copper wiring from air conditioning units.

The school's windows are boarded up, but there isn't a fence to keep intruders away from the campus.

Caddo Parish Schools' spokesperson tells NBC 6 security cameras are in place at the school and the campus is patrolled by security personnel.
