Insure.com released its annual state-by-state insurance premium comparison recently and drivers in Louisiana pay an average of $2,700 a year.
That's $1,700 more than drivers in Maine, the state with the lowest premiums.
Insure.com says comprehensive and bodily injury claims are the reason.
Texas came in at 19th, while Arkansas ranked 20th.
