Narcotics operation gets a group of suspected drug dealers off the streets

The streets of Caddo Parish are safer thanks to a special narcotics operation.

At least a dozen people were arrested during two drug stings in Vivian and Shreveport.

On March 15 a "Buy Bust" operation was conducted by the Shreveport Police Department's Street Level Interdiction Unit throughout certain parts of the city. 

Agents seized illegal narcotics, two firearms and $1,164 in cash.  Authorities also seized approximately 7.1 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of marijuana and over 300 various pills to include Lortab, Morphine, Alprazolam and Diazepam. 

The following people were arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail:

  • Kevin Necaise - Arrested in the 400 block of Egan for Dist. of Sch I Marijuana

     

  • Corwyn Nunsuch - Arrested in the 400 block of Egan for Dist. of Sch I Marijuana

       

  • Steven Crain - Arrested at Linwood and 70th St. for Poss. w/int to dist Sch III Lortabs, Poss. of a firearm during a drug transaction and Poss. of a concealed weapon

 

  • Brandon Remedies - Arrested at Linwood and 70th St. for Poss. w/int to dist Sch III Lortabs

 

  • Carolyn Atkinson - Arrested at Kings and I-49 for Poss. w/int Dist Sch IV - 3 cts and Sch II - 2 cts

      

  •  Lonnie Edwards - Arrested at Pierre and Garden St. for Distribution Sch II Cocaine

     

  • Laticia Harris - Arrested at Pierre and Garden St. for Distribution Sch II Cocaine

       

Meanwhile, in a separate operation Caddo Parish deputies along with Shreveport Police targeted a home in the 800 block of South Pecan St.  in Vivian.

Agents seized approximately 1.2 grams of methamphetamine, 37.6 grams of suspected marijuana and 3 dosage units of Ecstasy. Authorities also found an additional 65 grams of suspected marijuana, 3.4 grams of powdered cocaine, 20 dosage units of Xanax, 200 dosage units of Ecstasy along with assorted drug paraphernalia and $4,528 on a group of people who were hanging in an alleyway behind the home.  A total of five persons were arrested during the operation:

  • Michael Easter - Poss. of Schedule I with Intent to Dist. - Marijuana, Poss. of Schedule I with Intent to Dist. MDMA - Ecstasy, Poss. of Schedule IV - Xanax, Poss. of Schedule II With Intent to Dist. - Cocaine

      

  • Rickey Easter -8-22-80 B/M Poss. of Schedule I with Int. to Dist. -  Marijuana, Poss. of Schedule II with Int. to Dist. - Cocaine, Poss. Schedule IV with Int. to Dist. - Xanax, Poss. Schedule I with Intent to Dist. MDMA - Ecstasy    
  • Donnie Miner - Poss. of Schedule I with Int. to Dist. - Marijuana, Poss. of Schedule II with Int. to Dist. - Cocaine, Poss. Schedule IV with Int. to Dist. - Xanax, Poss. Schedule I with Intent to Dist. MDMA - Ecstasy   
  • Kendrick Nelson - Possession of Schedule I Marijuana w/intent, Possession of Schedule I w/intent to distribute MDMA -Ecstasy
  • L.J. Dixon Jr. - Poss. of Schedule I - Marijuana, Poss. of Schedule II -  Cocaine

Missing dog gets reunited with owner
