There are certain steps you can take to make sure your family member gets what they need during the final stages of Alzheimer's.

Tuesday the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will hold an educational seminar at Bossier Parish Community College.

Don Harper from Christus Schumpert will discuss Hospice and Palliative Care.  Harper will also talk about who qualifies for hospice assistance and some of the myths surrounding hospice care.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on BPCC's campus, Building D, room 226.

The seminar is free but pre-registration is required.  Contact BPCC's Continuing Education Dept. (318) 678- 6015 to register.
