9:46 p.m. – All results are in. The City of Shreveport has passed all 5 property tax continuations. The continuations voters approved will help fund salaries for police officers, firefighters and city workers for the next four years.

9:39 p.m. -- The $50 annual service charge for commercial fire protection and emergency facilities in Caddo Parish’s Fire District 5 has passed. The fee will help the district provide its own ambulance service. District 5 voters also said yes to 2.5 Million dollar bond issue to provide money needed to help build a new fire station within living quarters of Dixie Gardens.

9:31 p.m. -- Desoto Parishes Fire District 9 passed a $150,000,000 property tax continuation to help fund the general operations of the district. Voting results in Webster Parish and Desoto Parish are complete. KTAL is still waiting for final election results in Caddo Parish.


9:08 p.m. -- Residents of Sibley in Webster Parish voted to not to pass a half of a cent sales tax to help fund their police department. The Sibley School District said yes to a property tax renewal for the town. At last report, most voters are saying yes to all five property taxes in Shreveport. The Caddo Parish Fire District 5 service charge and bond Issue is passing at this hour, results in for Shreveport and Fire District 5, have not yet been finalized. Desoto Parish has yet to report any voting results. KTAL is your place for politics.


8:45 p.m. -- Elections Results in the following Parishes: Caddo, Desoto and Webster are being counted at this time. Webster Parish's Dixie Inn voted to appoint a Marshal. Stay with KTAL and www.arklatexhomepage.com for more information.

City of Shreveport #3, Prop #3: 1.19 Mills Yes – 77%, No – 23% (passed)

City of Shreveport #4, Prop #4: 1.19 Mills Yes – 79%, No – 21% (passed)

City of Shreveport #5, Prop #5: 1.80 Mills Yes – 77%, No – 23% (passed)

Desoto Parish; Fire Prot. Dist. 9: 15 Mills Yes -- 88%, No – 12% (passed)

Webster Parish; Cons. School District No. 3: 24.86 Mills School Board Yes – 54%, No – 46% (passed)

Webster Parish; Town of Sibley ½% S&U Tax/Mayor Yes – 31%, No – 69% (failed)

Webster Parish; Village of Dixie Inn Appoint Marshal Yes – 61%, No – 39% (passed)
