The event comes on the heels of the high school basketball semi-finals March 1-2 at CenturyLink Center. "When we were approached about hosting the all-star game we thought what a perfect fit it would be since we would have just hosted the basketball semi-finals," said Kelly Wells, VP of Sports for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. "It is truly an honor to have these outstanding athletes here for the all-star games and Centenary has been a great partner with us to make this event happen. We want each player to feel like they are royalty while they are here. With seven area players being named to the all-star teams, we hope the entire community will come out to support them."
"We are excited to present the best players that Louisiana has to offer in the Gold Dome. The Coaches Association is appreciative of the enthusiastic reception that we've had from the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and look forward to a great relationship for this event in future years," stated Micah Coleman, President of the Louisiana High School Basketball Coaches Association.
