Here are some comments from Cynthia Cruse on why she thinks she should be elected for Mansfield District E Alderman:

  • What are your qualifications for the position? I was born and raised in Mansfield so I'm a lifelong Mansfield native.  I currently serve on the Mansfield city council in district e.  I have worked in public service for 34 years.  I started out working at Bill's Dollar Store in high school and after graduation I went to work at Desoto Parish Tax Assessor's Office then to Desoto Parish Sheriff's Office , later to Mansfield City Police Department and now I'm with Desoto Parish Police jury.  I like being able to serve.  I have a genuine love and compassion for all people.
  • What do you think are the biggest challenges facing your district? Our city has come a long ways but there is still work to be done.  I think the biggest challenge facing district e is that a few of the streets need repairing.  The city has done work on the high traffic areas and they quickly fix potholes. But there are still some more streets left that need attention.  Also, some streets need better drainage.  I will see what can be done to improve this.
  • If elected, what will you do to help your constituents?  I will continue to work and meet the needs of the constituents in District E.  I will present their concerns at the city council meetings and they will be welcome to call me anytime.  I will do whatever I can, within my power, to continue to improve the living conditions and quality of life for the people residing in District E.
