Updated: February 5, 2007
The search is on for a man in Texarkana who forced his way inside a home this afternoon. Around 3 p.m., Thursday afternoon, officers were called to the 900 block of East Fifth Street. People inside a home there say a man forced his way in and tried to assault a 15 year old girl. Family members attacked the suspect who then fled. Police consider the man armed and dangerous. "Anyone that`s willing to make entry into a house that is occupied, we`re going to treat them as very dangerous," said Officer Chris Rankin, spokesman for the Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department. Investigators have a pretty good clue on who the suspect is. They found a set of car keys which goes to vehicle found outside the house.
