Local pediatric patients got a chance to sing and dance Tuesday with the Songs for Kids Foundation.
Christus Sutton's Children's Medical Center was the 46th stop on the Foundation's cross country hospital tour. Josh Rifkind founded the organization and performs as a one-man-band to make a difference in the lives of sick children.
Since some patients couldn't join the fun in the playroom, the music was played over closed circuit television so they could watch from their hospital rooms.
"Our closed circuit television is a way to get all the kids involved wben if they can't come out to playroom. There were several tvs I was programming and fixing and everyone was excited and people were cheering and singing along in their rooms," said Paige Cox, Christus Sutton Children's Medical Center Child Life Specialist.
The Foundation tour made another stop Tuesday afternoon at LSU Health - Shreveport''s Children's Hospital.
