Tuesday morning Cardinals walked to the Sistine chapel to begin the Papal Conclave.
Earlier Cardinal Angelo Sodano led other cardinals in a Mass for the election of the new pope inside St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican.
Thousands of people from around the world waited in line to attend the special pre-conclave Mass.
The 115 cardinals will be deciding between just a couple of front-runners in choosing a successor to Pope Benedict XVI.
The 20 men who could get votes when balloting starts later today are from several countries including Italy, Africa and the U.S.
