East Texas murder suspects captured in Houston

Authorities have arrested two people in connection with the shooting death of a Marshall man.

Sunday night Jason Rand, 32, and Oriel Alexander, 22, were taken into custody after Houston Police received a tip on their whereabouts.

Rand and Alexander are accused of shooting Cherry in the head early Friday morning at his home on Georgetown Road.

Alexander is being transferred back to Marshall on Monday.

Houston Police say Rand was also being held for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and it is unclear at this time when he'll be transported back to Harrison County.

Missing dog gets reunited with owner
